Dick and his wife, Jeannie moved to the Middle Peninsula in 1977. Jeannie became a GMHS volunteer in 1981. Dick’s involvement increased in 2010
following retirement. He practiced gastroenterology and was a founding member of Internal Medicine Associates of Gloucester. Following retirement he has served as volunteer and board member for Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society, volunteer physician at the Gloucester-Mathews Care Clinic, and board member at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital where he currently serves as president. He had also served the residents of Tangier Island as a visiting physician for several years. Jeannie and he currently have 3 wonder dogs, Teddy, Evie, and Miller, all GMHS alumni. Dick is beginning his second tour as president of the GMHS board of directors.
